OFFICIAL RULES for KHSU FALL DRIVE DRAWING 2011
1) How to Enter
No purchase or donation necessary. Eligibility begins at 12:01am PDT on September 22, 2011 and ends at 12:01am PDT on Friday, September 30, 2011. Contestants are entered by either:
-Mailing or giving an online donation postmarked or time stamped before 12:00 midnight September 21, 2011 for a pre-drive drawing for $500 in airfare credit on United Airlines.
-Giving a donation by phone or in-person during the contest period for each one of four giveaways:
by Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 - $500 United Airlines Voucher,
by Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 - TEAC table top radio valued at $180
by Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 - cord of firewood valued at $300
by Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 - 2 "pick Six" packages from Center Arts (Value varies)
by Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011-$599 Simply Macintosh gift certificate good for 32 Gb Ipad2
-Mailing a contribution to KHSU postmarked by September 29, 2011 and received no later than October 5, 2011.
-Being a current KHSU sustaining member.
-Entering by mail by hand printing name, address, & phone number on a postcard or sheet of paper, along with the words "KHSU FALL DRIVE DRAWING 2011" and mailing to KHSU-FM, Humboldt State University, 1 Harpst St, Arcata, CA 95521. Mail entries must be postmarked on or before September 29, 2011 and be received by KHSU no later than October 5, 2011.
-Enter online at http://www.khsu.org using the email link provided on the home page name "KHSU FALL DRIVE DRAWING 2011". During the on air drive. No donation necessary.
One entry per person, address, email address, or household, regardless of method of entry. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, stolen, postage due, illegible, or misdirected mail, for human error or for any computer, telephone, or other technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of KHSU.
2) Prizes
Seven Prizes total: a voucher for the purchase of a Apple 32 Gb wi-fi iPad 2 from Simply Macintosh in Arcata, valued at $599; Two (2) Gift Certificates good for travel on United Airlines valued at $500 each, Two (2) "Pick Six" packages from Center Arts (value varies), a TEAC tabletop radio from C. Crane Co. valued at $180, a cord of firewood valued at $300. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No transfer, substitution, or assignment of the prize is permitted. One prize per household. Gift certificate may be picked up from the KHSU office on the Humboldt State University campus. Arrangements can be made to mail certifiable or vouchers to winner.
3) Eligibility
Employees of KHSU, KHSU volunteers, members of the KHSU Community Advisory Group, HSU Administrators responsible for KHSU, their immediate family and members of their households are not eligible. Winner must be 18 years of age or older, and proof of identification is necessary to claim prizes.
4) Selection of winners
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible online and mailed-in and phoned-in entries on
October 21, 2011. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries. On air and email entries will be entered in all drawings at and after the day they are made. If, for any reason, the prize cannot be awarded to the first listener whose name is drawn, a second name will be drawn, and so forth until the prizes are awarded.
5) Notification
Winners will be notified via phone or email starting on October 24, 2011. Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for KHSU to use winner's name for promotional purposes without compensation. Participants hold harmless KHSU and Humboldt State University from any liability, injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this drawing or any prize won.
6) General Conditions
Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of KHSU management as final and binding on all matters pertaining to this drawing. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Any applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winners. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of notification are forfeited and become the property of KHSU.
7) Sweepstakes void where prohibited by law.
Official Rules for Membership Drive / Pledge Drive BINGO:
This is just for fun. Two winners will be selected at random from all correct entries received by October 7, 2011 mailed to the KHSU offices, 1 Harpst Street, Arcata CA 95521 or dropped by the Wagner House, HSU campus . Winning entry will have five spaces on bingo card marked with day and approximate time of hearing a phrase on space.
Winner will be notified by October 21, 2011.
Both winners will receive a selection of KHSU merchandise and public radio goodies and two tickets to either a Center Arts or Arcata Playhouse performance to be named later.
