The Arcata Plaza Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday, year round, offering the freshest produce, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, bread, flowers, and more! Enjoy music and hot food vendors at this fun, family friendly event. No pets are allowed, but trained, ADA certified, service animals are welcome. The Friends of the Chetco Library book sale is a bi-annual event which raises funds for the Chetco Library. Over the years the Friends have helped fund designated spaces for private study and other library projects as they arise.
Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) is sponsoring a free tour of the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary each Saturday. Meet leaders at 2 p.m. outside the Interpretive Center on South G Street for a 90-minute, rain-or-shine walk.

9th Annual recurring event to gather Steel Pan bands together and celebrate percussive, community based Music. Graciously hosted by the Blue Lake Casino and Hotel, over 100 musicians, from 8-80 years old, will gather to groove. The final performance will be our traditional Mass Band song with all the players from the festival joining together to create a sound bigger, more full, than any small band could make. Join us for a wonderful day Music performed by students from Trinidad, Blue Lake, Arcata High, San Rafael, and Cal Poly Humboldt.
Lena is a Feldenkrais and meditation teacher, writer, and somatic therapist. In this 4-week series, she invites us to explore voice, breath, awareness, and movement. A blend of gentle movement lessons and somatic practices will help us release tension, free the breath and voice, and enhance our physical presence — both on and off the stage. No prior experience with the Feldenkrais Method is necessary, just a willingness to explore and engage with your body, voice, and self-expression. 4 classes starting 3/1- please bring a blanket or a mat. This is a 5 hour, 4 week series.
The 31st Annual Trinidad Memorial Ceremony commences on Sunday, May 24, 2 p.m. at Trinidad Bay Memorial Park, Edwards and Trinity Streets by the Memorial Wall honoring those lost or buried at sea. The memorial, approximately 45-minutes long, occurs rain or shine with no seating provided. Sound services by Tofu Mike. To preserve the solemn nature of the event, the roads surrounding the immediate vicinity will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m.
Redwood Dart Association hosts weekly Luck of the Draw Dart Tournament every Sunday at 3pm. $10 entry fee
