The April 2 Artwaves program features an interview with “Clown Cabaret” co-organizers Sayda Trujillo and Cleo DeOrio. The one-night-only event will be held this Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carlo Theatre, Dell’Arte, Blue Lake. Tickets at Wildberries or at the door. The cabaret is a benefit in support of Clowns Without Borders, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing laughter as a means to promote healing. Organization chapters are located in 15 countries including the United States. Trujillo, a Dell’Arte graduate and part of its faculty, is a longtime Clowns Without Borders volunteer. DeOrio is a Dell’Arte third-year MFA student with a keen interest in providing her time to CWB and to its commitment to community nurture. The two discuss CWB, including the ethics of this organization and the impact it has on communities throughout the world.
