Redwood Art Association is perhaps a quiter but no less integral member of the North Coast creative community. Benjamin Funke is a member of RAA's Board of Directors. He's the guest on this week's ARTWAVES program on KHSU. He speaks about RAA's plans for the new year. Those plans include a mural on the Sixth Street exterior of its building at 603 F St. in Eureka. More exhibits and workshops begin later in January as well as a field trip to Oliver Ranch in Geyserville. Find out more by visiting redwoodart.us Funke is an associate faculty member at College of the Redwoods and a working artist whose sculpture will be on display in January and February at Black Faun Gallery in Eureka.

Redwood Art Association's interactive mural design is by Lucas Thornton. The concept for this RAA fundraiser is that with their financial donations people are invited to contribute art and also images of individuals they wish to honor which can then be "painted into" the mural.
