Forty years in the making, Beyond Photography is a series of works on paper by fine art photographer Suk Joo Kim. He presents 20 new works at Eureka's Black Faun Gallery through December 30th. He tells Wendy Butler that Polaroid film can be manipulated as the photo emerges from the camera. "When it comes out there's a plastic cover on top. One day I was just pressing on it and I realized the dyes in there," he says.
Humboldt Bay Brass Band's biggest show of the year is this Saturday at 8pm at HSU's Fulkerson Recital Hall.
