University of Pennsylvania

This week the show begins an exploration of a new topic: work in later life. The first guest is Dr. Peter Cappelliwho notes, "Older workers have tacit knowledge - the kind of thing you can't learn in a book. You name it, and things seem to get better with older workers, and it makes perfect sense (because) age and experience are highly correlated." Peter is the George W. Taylor Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Human Resources at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His research on employment includes the book Managing the Older Worker: How to Prepare for the New Organizational Order.
