Cell phone maker Nokia and the San Diego city government are teaming up to post signs asking cell phone users to turn off their ringers, or their phones, in public places such as churches, libraries and movie theaters.

President Clinton returns to Camp David tonight, to continue peace negotiations with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Talks have stalled over the fate of Jerusalem. Barak aides have said they expect to come to an agreement or end the talks in the next 24 hours. NPR's Tom Gjelten speaks with David from Camp David.

NPR's Anthony Brooks reports on today's long-awaited endorsement of Vice President Al Gore by his one-time rival, Bill Bradley. The former New Jersey senator had harsh things to say about Gore's veracity during the primaries, and refused to say the "e" word after he withdrew from the race.
