Norway-based Nordic Aquafarms plans to grow and sell roughly 150,000 daily pounds of Atlantic Salmon from their land-based fish farm on the Samoa Peninsula.

Environmental activists applaud the company's multimillion-dollar plan to clean up legacy pollution from the mill, while College of the Redwood plans to develop an on-site classroom and lab for students pursuing a new aquaculture certificate or associate's degree. Stakeholders can comment on the project's draft environmental impact report until February 18.
