The Humboldt-ERFSA (Emeritus Retired Faculty and Staff Association) is pleased to announce its slate of luncheon presentations for the Fall. Please note, all luncheons will now be held on Tuesdays at the Baywood Golf and Country Club at 3600 Buttermilk Lane in Arcata. Luncheons are open to all community members. Guests should be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and may wear masks while attending. Meet and greets begin at 11:30 a.m. Various foods and beverages can now be ordered through the bar; please arrive early to order lunch or place your order in advance by calling the Baywood bar after 10 AM at 707-822-3686, Ext 3. Please pay your bill as you pick up your order.

Our exciting lineup is as follows:

Tuesday, September 12: Honoring Rowing Coach Weise, Assistant Coaches Hyland & Donnell, and crew students will present “A Journey to the National Rowing Championship and Invitation to the White House’s Inaugural College Athlete Day.”

Tuesday, October 10: Associate Vice President Michael Fisher, Facilities Management & CNRS Dean Eric Riggs will speak on the “Status of Cal Poly Humboldt’s Physical Planning and Projects.”

Tuesday, November 14: Cal Poly Professor Emerita Betsy Watson, UC Davis Retired Professor Mark Thurmond, and Humboldt County Growers Alliance Policy Director Ross Gordon will speak on “Humboldt Cannabis Reform Initiative: A Controversial Voter Initiative” that will appear on the March 5, 2024 ballot.

Tuesday, December 12: Executive Director Emma Breacain of the Humboldt Literacy Project will discuss local literacy statistics and what the HLP is doing to enhance literacy in Humboldt County.
