November Solidarity Gathering: Learn How to Save a Life!

November Solidarity Gathering: Learn How to Save a Life!

Join Friends of the Eel River and our allies for solidarity gatherings on the second Monday of each month at Humbrews in Arcata from 5 - 7pm!

On November 9, learn how to save a life! We will be joined by Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services, who will teach us about fentanyl in our community and how to use naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose, as well as how to safely pick up and dispose of community-found syringes. This is a fantastic opportunity to easily learn a life-saving skill, and you can do it while enjoying dinner and drinks at Humbrews. Friends of the Eel River will also share the latest updates on dam removal, and a dollar per drink sold will benefit the Eel River.

Join with community members to plan creative resistance to the Trump administration's destructive policies, learn about community initiatives, and take meaningful action to protect the people, creatures, and values we all hold dear.

Humbrews is generously donating a portion of sales during the event, so please bring your family out to have dinner and drinks and join the movement to support what our community cares about. Every month features a raffle, a variety of engaging activities, and opportunities to both learn about local organizing efforts and share your own community projects.
