A new exhibition at Portland’s Wolff Gallery features artists with disabilities. The artists took part in a residency program with other local artists who helped them achieve their vision. The artwork ranges from photography to painting to virtual reality. John Griffiths is one of the artists, and Madeline Sorenson is the co-founder of the nonprofit that created the residency program.
Snohomish County, Washington, is one of a handful of places around the country that’s treating its opioid crisis like a natural disaster. Anna Boiko-Weyrauch with KUOW in Seattle produces and hosts a podcast called "Finding Fixes." She joins us to talk about the solutions she highlighted in season one, which focused on the county’s unique approach to solving its opioid crisis.
