NCC meets with Nezzie Wade of Humboldt County Affordable Homeless Housing Alternatives, also known as AHHA.
AHHA is a local nonprofit organization working to provide affordable and accessible housing to our unhoused community members. Since 2019, AHHA has been hosting the Shower Care-A-Van program, which is a mobile shower and pop-up care center for homeless community members, providing them with free access to clean showers, along with resources and services that can help them get back on their feet.
Currently, AHHA is looking to fill some positions within the shower care-a-van program. I met with Ms. Wade via zoom to learn more.
AHHA is always looking for volunteers to help run their programs and are in constant need of donations of clothing and toiletries as well, especially mens clothing items.
