More wind and rain set to impact North Coast: flood watches in effect, local river observations and forecasts

According to the National Weather Service, back-to-back powerful Pacific Storm systems are impacting the West Coast through the end of this week with heavy rain, life-threatening flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow.

A Flood Watch in in effect from the northern tip of Del Norte County, to the southern tip of Mendocino County, particularly in areas surrounding the Russian River near Hopland, and the Eel River at Fernbridge.
