KHSU Magazine: NCJ Revels in Street Art Fest, Explains Marci Kitchen Guilty Plea
The Eureka Street Art Festival is a memory now, but the work of the 20-plus artists lives on in Opera Alley and elsewhere in Eureka. The North Coast Journal's Jennifer Fumiko Cahill talks about the festival, the Journal's virtual tour of the artwork, and freelance writer/photographer Alexander Woodward's cover story in this week's Journal.
The Marci Kitchen trial took a surprise turn Monday August 20, with Kitchen pleading guilty to all charges and special circumstances. Kitchen was about to go on trail for hitting and killing two teenage girls, including her daughter, while driving drunk, then fleeing the scene. The Journals' Thad Greenson expains what the guilty plea means and what it doesn't.
