I’m writing to share Equity Arcata’s press release announcing Solidarity Day, a community-led gathering on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the D Street Community Center in Arcata, across from the Cal Poly Humboldt campus.
Solidarity Day will bring together Arcata residents, local organizations, cultural groups, faculty, staff, students, and neighbors for intercultural dialogue, story-sharing, collaborative art, cultural performances, music and drumming, resource sharing, and shared food. The event is designed to strengthen relationships, nurture new connections, and deepen belonging across campus and community.
The gathering reflects a broad coalition that includes Queer Humboldt, Black Humboldt, HAPI, Humboldt Area Foundation + Wild Rivers Community Foundation, and several Cal Poly Humboldt centers and offices, alongside local food partners Pineapple Express and Pupuseria San Miguel.
