Join us for A Reason to Listen, Humboldt's premier poetry event. Sign-ups to perform at 6:30 pm. Each poet is limited to five minutes. Live music by DJ Goldylocks. Art by Dre Meza. November's event will be poets' response to the election.
A Reason to Listen (Formerly the Humboldt Poetry Slam) finally returns!! A Reason to Listen Poetry Show had taken a break after the pandemic, but was an incredibly active poetry show on the North Coast for over 12 years. The event is the 1st Thursday of the month from 7-9pm at the Sanctuary in Arcata. There will be Live Music by DJ Goldylocks and Live Art by Dre Meza. The open mic is a lottery!
Always wanted to learn how to homebrew and don't know where to start? Well, these people do! FREE Los Bagels Breakfast to start our volunteer efforts!Join the volunteers of Old Town for a morning of gardening! Help us maintain the brick planters along 2nd Street. We will meet at the Eureka Visitor Center at the Gazebo and will be weeding and maintaining native plants along 2nd Street.All supplies are provided.This event occurs the first Saturday of every odd numbered month- January, March, May, July, September, November
