Fortuna Concert Series presents the Redwood Dixie-Gators on Saturday, October 14 at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street, Fortuna. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door. All tickets are $10.

The Redwood Dixie-Gators is an eight-piece jazz ensemble that performs old time Dixieland music written in the 1920s and 30s. Members of the group are all local musicians. Their creative arrangements include lots of individual and ensemble improvisations. Stepping out in front of the band is vocalist, Donna Landry-Rehling. Donna has been a mainstay of the Humboldt music scene for more than three decades.

The playlist for the evening will include classic Dixieland tunes such as, “Jazz Me Blues,” “Dark Town Strutters Ball,” and “Sweet Georgia Brown.”

This is the final program of the Fortuna Concert Series 2023 season. The 2024 season will be announced at the concert.
