Humboldt Symphony's Partnership in Music Orchestra Spring Performance
Sunday, May 10th at 2pm at Cal Poly Humboldt’s Fulkerson Recital Hall (1 Harpst Street, Arcata). The performances are presented by Musical Director/Conductor, Garrick Woods, professor of music at Cal Poly Humboldt, and Concertmaster Holly MacDonell.
Selections include: An American in Paris Suite by George Gershwin, arranged by John Whitney; Ritual Fire Dance by Manuel de Falla; Sinfonia Piccola by Hikki Solahti; Die Moldau from Bedřich Smetana’s “Má Vlast”; The Sound of Music, arranged by Robert Bennett.
For the Winter 2026 semester, student musicians are offered a chance to play in the Cal Poly Humboldt Symphony. Students can enroll in the class: MUS 1060/4060. An informal audition is required for class enrollment. Cal Poly Humboldt musicians who enroll in these two classes automatically become members of the All Seasons Orchestra.
