Rebuilding Gaza & Israel - a path forward through shared humanity
Rebuilding Gaza & Israel - a path forward through shared humanity
Alkhatib is an accomplished activist whose beliefs, while decidedly pro-Palestinian, do not neatly align with many positions of "pro-Palestine" and "pro-Israel" communities; he subsequently faces both praise and vitriol from both communities. "Since the October 7 massacre, Alkhatib's life has been deeply impacted by the loss of thirty-three of his immediate and extended family members, who were killed by three different Israeli airstrikes. Still, he aims to play a part in breaking the cycle of dehumanization and defying the cycle of hatred, incitement, violence, and revenge."
