Redwood Unit Backcountry Horsemen of California Equine Trail Challenge

The Redwood Unit of the Backcountry Horsemen of California is holding and equine trail obstacle challenge at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds on April 18, 2026. The event has 12 stations that are designed to help desensitize your equine to situations that might be encountered while trail riding. The event also has a Dutch oven demonstration, equine packing clinic, emergency equine medical techniques, raffle, and merch for sale. Equine chiropractic appointments with Dr. Burk will also be available for a separate fee. The Bureau of Land Management is also scheduled to be present with horses and burros that will be available for adoption. Lunch will be available for purchase. See the Redwood Unit's Facebook page for more information.
