Roots for the Run - Blackberry Removal and Native Planting Volunteer Day
Join the Watershed Stewards Program and Northcoast Regional Land Trust for a day of invasive species removal and native planting along Freshwater Slough. Come help restore critical habitat for coho salmon, steelhead, and other wildlife at Freshwater Farms Reserve. Come learn more about salmonid species native to Humboldt Bay and the importance of wetland, marshes, and estuarine habitat.
Bring closed-toed shoes, water bottle, warm layers, and rain/sun protection. Tools, gloves, coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided for volunteers.
