Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 12, 2024, as Sunny Brae comes alive with
music for the highly anticipated Sunny Brae Porch Fest! This family-friendly, all-ages
event features an incredible lineup of local talent across 16 porches, lawns, and
driveways throughout the neighborhood, offering a free and immersive musical
experience from 12 PM to 6 PM.

Porch Fest is a nationwide event that brings local musicians together in neighborhoods
to foster community and uplift local acts. The first porch fest was in Ithaca NY in 2007,
and since then, dozens of cities have picked up the idea, and now it’s happening in
Arcata; more specifically, Sunny Brae.

This will be a full day of live music throughout the neighborhood of Sunny Brae, with
musicians on porches, lawns, and driveways. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike,
hop, and skip between venues. It is all ages and free!

With over 50 local bands and artists at 16 participating house locations, there is
something for everyone, from acoustic folk, rock and roll, a Hip Hop Humboldt stage,
and so much more. Whether you're in the mood for the mellow melodies of Johnny’s
Garden, the rhythmic beats of Pan Dulce Steel Orchestra, or the unique sounds of Die
Geister Beschweren, this community-centered event showcases the creative spirit of
Arcata and beyond.
