The California Native Plant Society will be hosting its 43rd annual Wildflower Show on May 2nd through May 4th at the Jefferson Community Center (1000 B Street, Eureka). Friday evening is Art Night. Keynote lectures will be given on Saturday and Sunday. Come see hundreds of species of cut flowers and listen to pop-up talks every half hour. This year’s theme is the family of rhododendrons, manzanitas, and madrone. For details see northcoastcnps.org.

On June 8, 2025 the Humboldt Rose Society will hold our 56th Annual Rose Show at the Redwood Acres Home Economics Building. Entries will be accepted June 7 from noon to 1:30 PM; and, on June 8 from 7:30 -10 AM. The show will open to the public 1-4 PM (free admission). Raffles, and plant sale will start after judging ends. Monetary prizes are awarded for certificate and trophy winners. Public votes on Most Fragrant Rose. For more information, go to www.humboldtrose.org.

WormFest is a fun and educational family-friendly festival celebrating worms, soil, and the ecosystem services they provide! WormFest will have a: Worm “Charming” Contest, Worm Wiggle Dance Move Contest, Worm/Soil costume contest, Soil Health Education, General soils education, live music, local food and more!
