Visiting artist Alisha Solan’s performance I Blame the Moon is a spoken-word poetry journey of self-discovery & sexual reawakening after loss of a partner, at times sexy & humorous, always intimate & insightful. This performance is part of the 2026 Exit Theatre Fringe Festival in Arcata.

About the Show:

It starts as an affair with the moon. After the death of her longtime partner, Alisha Solan takes on the challenges of rediscovering love and desire after loss. Going out to the bar, meeting women, kissing strangers, and finding love anew. A sexy spoken-word poetic ride with grief and humor both intimate and insightful.
Alisha Solan's I Blame the Moon turns grief into something unexpectedly alive. After the death of her partner of 30 years, Solan traces a path of self discovery and sexual awakening in spoken-word poetry that is by turns frank, funny, and disarmingly tender. About Alisha:
Alisha Solan is a queer artist, poet, and performer. Her one-woman show I Blame the Moon traces the borderlands between grief, joy, and desire.
