Take A Child Outside Day is a festival of fun outdoor play for kids and their caregivers. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10th, a wealth of local environmental educators will offer nature-based activities, games, and information throughout the Arcata Marsh. Kids are invited to fill their “eco-passport” by adventuring around the Butcher’s Slough and Log Pond. Additionally, teachers and school staff are invited to attend and learn about field trips, in-class presentations and other opportunities for their students at each station.
