The overall inflation rate of 4.4% in Eureka and surrounding cities from 2024 to 2025 was slightly down from last year’s rate of 4.5%, according to new student-led research by Cal Poly Humboldt released in May.

Cal Poly Humboldt is the first Polytechnical University in Northern California and the third in the state. “Cal Poly Humboldt will be a polytechnic for the 21st-century, preparing students to address the urgent issues our society faces,” says Cal Poly Humboldt President Tom Jackson, Jr.
