"I thought I'd work for the U.N. or something," says Postmodern Jukebox's Robyn Adele Anderson. She can sing in Russian and Spanish, and studied Political Science and Arabic in college. Anderson tells KHSU's Halimah The Dreamah that music "was kind of an accident."

Postmodern Jukebox has built a three-million strong Youtube fanbase by reimagining what pop songs could sound like if they were from a different era, like this New Orleans jazz cover of Pharrell Williams or this doo-wop Katy Perry cover.

The Postmodern Jukebox castmember speaks with Halimah about viral success, touring, and how to shoot Postmodern Jukebox's signature one-take Youtube videos.

The band performs at the Van Duzer on Saturday night (tickets).
