Oregon state Sen. Sara Gelser is among the people featured in Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” issue, out this week. Rather than focusing on one individual, the magazine chose to recognize “the silence breakers” who have spoken up against sexual harassment and assault as part of the #metoo movement. Gelser spoke out against a fellow lawmaker who she says has repeatedly touched her inappropriately.
Disability Rights Oregon released a report this week on conditions for juveniles detained at the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility (NORCOR). The disputing some of the findings. We hear from Sarah Radcliffe, a lawyer with Disability Rights Oregon, who authored the report.
