Greg James, the publisher of Marijuana Venture, joins us to talk about the regional ripple effects of legal recreational cannabis in California.

The nonprofit coordinated care organization FamilyCare announced last month it will close on Jan. 31. FamilyCare provides insurance to about 113,000 Oregon Health Plan members in the Portland area. Mental health care and addiction treatment providers say FamilyCare’s closure may force them to shut down clinics. The Lund Report’s Courtney Sherwood explains the closure and physician Bryan Schwartz and psychologist Brad Larsen-Sanchez tell us how it will affect their clinics.

The Roseburg Veterans Administration Medical Center has been turning away patients against the recommendations of doctors in order to improve quality-of-care metrics. That’s according to a recent article by New York Times correspondent Dave Philipps. Philipps and the director of the Veterans Administration Roseburg Healthcare System, Doug Paxton, join us.
