A voter drops off a ballot at a Multnomah County dropbox in November 2016.

Oregon's primary election is a week and a half away, and some of the state’s most fascinating races are happening in Portland-area local government.

Will Portland elect its first woman of color to City Council? Who’s poised to round out Multnomah County’s commission? And what’s all this national money doing in a race for district attorney?

On this week's episode of "OPB Politics Now," OPB reporters Dirk VanderHart and Amelia Templeton explore those topics and more with Willamette Week reporter Rachel Monahan.
