Synagogue Shooting | Treaty Conference | Portland E-Scooters

We talk with Portlander Josh Alpert, who grew up in the Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue, about how he’s processing the fatal shooting there — thought to be the deadliest attack targeting the Jewish community in U.S. history. Aaron Knott, legislative director for the Oregon Attorney General, also joins us to tell us about the statewide effort by the state attorney general to address hate crimes.

This past weekend, the Museum at Warm Springs hosted a conference that focused on the Middle Oregon Treaty of 1855 and the museum’s 25th anniversary. We sit down with Elizabeth Woody, the incoming executive director of the Museum at Warm Springs, to learn more.

Portland has released the results of a new survey of people who have ridden e-scooters. The scooters will be around until at least November 20, when the trial run is over. John Brady from the Portland Bureau of Transportation joins us to tell us what the city has learned so far.
