In Oregon, people found criminally insane become the custody of the Psychiatric Security Review Board for supervision and treatment. But a new analysis from ProPublica and the Malheur Enterprise shows that 35 percent of people released from the board commit new crimes within three years. We sit down with reporter Jayme Fraser to talk about Oregon's criminal insanity system.

Patients at St. Charles Health System hospitals will no longer be identified by their gender on ID bracelets. That change is part of an effort to improve healthcare for transgender patients in central Oregon. Several clinics and hospitals have invited transgender educators to run trainings for their doctors. Erin Rook is one of those educators.

Three Oregon students recently received recognition for their inventions in a national competition. We sit down with two of those students, Pratik Vangal from Sunset High School and John Madland from Leslie Middle School.
