PG&E May Sell Off Assets to Settle Wildfire Lawsuits
In the face of dozens of lawsuits for its role in sparking wildfires, PG&E is considering taking some drastic steps to pay off potential claims. According to reporting by NPR, the utility is exploring selling off a major part of the company or its San Francisco headquarters and moving somewhere else in the Bay Area.
Mudslides in Malibu
Around the state, communities where fires have scarred the landscape bare are bracing for more rain after a wet weekend. In Malibu, officials closed Pacific Coast Highway after several cars got sucked into a mudslide up to four feet deep.
