Thursday Night Talk: Discussing Gun Violence and How to End it

Last Spring, spiritual leaders and community elders attended the March for our Lives and asked our youth for forgiveness of an environment in which our children are not safe. A community forum on ending gun violence brought together students, educators, members of faith communities, law enforcement, and wellness professionals last August. On February 11th, 2019 the Humboldt Interfaith Fellowship will hold another community forum in Arcata as the one-year anniversary of the Parkland shootings near. Brenda Starr hosted the latest Thursday Night Talk when her guests will be clergy from the Humboldt Interfaith Fellowship. They discussed the issues surrounding gun-violence and school safety, as well as how adults can become better allies to children with coping with these tragedies and how to prevent them in the future. Thursday Night Talk airs every Thursday at 7pm here on KHSU.
