OPB has spent months digging deep on how Oregon handles its most vulnerable children.

The short answer? Poorly. Foster children have been abused and neglected. The state is so strapped for space that they’ve housed kids in motels and shuttered jails and even shipped them out of state.  

In this episode of "OPB Politics Now," we take a closer look at what’s plaguing the state’s child welfare system.
