Nike announced Tuesday that its CEO Mark Parker is stepping down.

Parker has been the company’s CEO since 2006 and chairman, president and CEO since 2016.

He will become executive chairman and continue to lead the company’s Board of Directors.

John Donahoe, a Nike board member, will be appointed as the company’s new president and CEO in January.

Last year, at least 11 Nike executives left the company over complaints of an uncomfortable workplace that discriminates against women.

The company also came under fire earlier this year for not guaranteeing its female athletes a salary during pregnancy.

In a statement to Nike employees, Parker said “there are no issues I’m not sharing. I strongly believe the best way for us to evolve and grow as a company is to bring in a phenomenal talent to join our team who has long been part of the Nike family.”
