For more than 25 years, the nonprofit ¡Salud! has provided healthcare for vineyard workers who would otherwise have little to no access otherwise. Agricultural workers are at a heightened risk of contracting the coronavirus than the general population. ¡Salud! has responded to this risk by adding coronavirus screening, education and follow up care to its existing multicultural and multilingual services. We talk with ¡Salud! nurse Erika Sanchez Lerma about her experience providing healthcare to some of the Oregon’s most vulnerable workers.
