Oregon’s new school safety and prevention system requires every school district in the state to have plans for suicide prevention, intervention and response, and creates resources to help make that happen. Kahae Rikeman is the school suicide prevention and wellness program manager for Lines for Life, the nonprofit partnering with the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education to work with districts on their their plans.
