We listen back to several conversations with Oregonians who fled the holocaust. Ruth Lindemann was born into a Jewish family in Vienna in 1933. Five years later, Nazi Germany annexed Austria. Lindemann and her immediate family were able to escape – narrowly — when Lindemann was seven. Anita Diamant Holmstrum also grew up in Vienna. She escaped with her triplet sisters when she was 13 years old.
