Oregon lawmakers consider bill to expand mental health coverage

Oregon lawmakers are considering a bill that would expand coverage requirements for mental health and addiction treatment services, whether through private insurance or the Oregon Health Plan. The bill, HB 3046, is based on a similar California proposal that passed in 2020. Chris Bouneff, the executive director of NAMI Oregon, is a proponent of the bill. Carol Dickey testified in favor of it. They join us.
