Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve beer is no more, parent company says

Pacific Northwest beer drinkers know that Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve wasn't always a mass brewed corporate property. Henry Weinhard was a real person, not the product of a focus group. In fact, he was a Portland resident and one of its first craft brewers. He started making beer in what is now known among beer lovers as Brewvana in 1856 - just 5 years after Portland became incorporated. Now the beer named after Weinhard, brewed since 1976, is being discontinued by its parent company, Molson Coors.
