The Eureka Police Department recently sent out a press release saying that the city's injury collisions have increased by 18% so far in 2026, despite an increase in enforcement, and asking for the public’s help in coming up with solutions through a community survey.

Colin Fiske of the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities and Matt Simmons of EPIC join the show to discuss how road design can create lasting traffic safety improvements.

You can share your thoughts on how to make Eureka’s roads safer by filling out the EPD survey here.
