Welcome to Heard in Humboldt on KHSU, a program where we play a range of live music performances captured in Humboldt County.

This week we're airing another student performance – “Mirror from Another” composed by David Friedman and performed by Logan Harriman on the vibraphone, recorded at Fulkerson Recital hall on campus as part of the student honors recital.

KHSU had a chance to chat with Harriman, who shared a little about the piece, the percussion program at Cal Poly Humboldt and what makes the vibraphone so unique.

You can catch Harriman on Saturday, March 7 with the Cal Poly Humboldt Wind Ensemble and on Saturday, April 18 with the Percussion Ensemble, both at the Fulkerson Recital Hall. You can find more details at humboldt.edu/dance-music-theatre.

Thanks for listening and tune next time as we explore more live music from behind the redwood curtain.

And if you're a local musician who would like your live recording featured on heard in Humboldt, send us an email to khsu@humboldt.edu
