Welcome to Heard in Humboldt on KHSU, a program where we play a range of live music recordings from Humboldt County.
Sometimes we stray slightly from the usual format, to feature artists that will be performing live in our area, and this week we’re featuring Heart Matter – vibraphone-centered, indie jazz quartet that will be playing at the Arcata Playhouse this Friday. The song we’ll be hearing is “Take it All Back” written by vocalist Amy Dabalos of the group. I sat down with Amy and vibraphonist Dillon Vado to learn more about the song, their band and their upcoming show.
