North Coast Conversations: Women on Air in Humboldt (WOAH)

Welcome to North Coast Conversations on KHSU.

As radio people, sometimes it is important for us at KHSU to acknowledge other folks working in our community to deliver on-air news and entertainment. And as it turns out, Humboldt has a robust group of women and genderqueer folks who work to keep your earbuds happy. Women on Air in Humboldt, or WOAH, is a collective that provides for women, femme identifying and nonbinary individuals who work in radio or audio production with a way to connect and collaborate here in Humboldt County.

This week we met with WOAH founder Rhiannon Miramontes to learn more about the collective and how the members are working to support each other and the community.

You can find more info by following WOAH on Instagram or Facebook.

Thanks for listening to North Coast Conversations.
