North Coast Conversations: Trinidad Coastal Land Trust's Beach Wheelchair Program

From Trinidad Coastal Land Trust's website

Welcome to North Coast Conversations on KHSU. I’m Stephanie McGeary.

Summer is here and with many people spending more time visiting our local beaches, the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust is helping make our coastline a little more accessible and enjoyable for all visitors, including those with limited mobility.

One of the ways it does that is through its beach wheelchair program, which offers self-checkout rentals of a wheelchair with extra beefy, sand-friendly tires. We recently met with Elizabeth Hinojosa, stewardship director of the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust, to learn more about the nonprofit and it’s beach wheelchair program.

That was Elizabeth Hinojosa from the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust talking about the nonprofit and the self-checkout beach wheelchair program. You can find more info, sign up for the beach wheelchair program and sign up for the land trust’s newsletter for updates at trinidadcoastallandtrust.org.

For North Coast Conversations and KHSU, I’m Stephanie McGeary. Thanks for listening.
