Welcome to North Coast Conversations on KHSU.
Humboldt County’s Civil Grand Jury — a group of citizens who investigate public agencies to ensure they are operating legally, efficiently, and in the best interests of the public — is about to start its next session and is now (and always) looking for new members to serve on the jury.

This week we met with Dennis Reid of the Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury to learn more about what the grand jury does, the importance of the jury serving as a watchdog of local government and how you can get involved.

The Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury is in need of more applicants to help its critical work of investigating and reporting on issues with our local government agencies. You can apply find more information and an application by searching Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury online. You can also ask questions or request an application by emailing GrandJuryApps@humboldtcourt.ca.gov .
