Thursday night trivia, FREE to play! Bring your friends and compete to win fun prizes!
Come gather and listen to three original audio pieces created by the 2025 Orbit Arts working theatre ensembles at Pelican Bay State Prison, in partnership with KHSU, as part of the Orbit Arts Sonic Showcase: 3 Plays from Pelican Bay at Dell’Arte International on Thursday, January 29th at 7:30 p.m. Written, developed, and performed by the participating artists at Pelican Bay, the pieces were produced in collaboration with KHSU’s Stephanie McGeary and local musician Cory Goldman, with facilitation by Orbit Arts Program Director Janessa Johnsrude. Tickets are offered by donation and can be purchased at the door.
We are excited to share that this event serves as a fundraiser that the contributing artists at Pelican Bay have helped put together. Money raised will go toward funding a spring term of classes at Humboldt County Correctional Facility as part of Dell'Arte's Orbit Arts Program, carrying on the work we began in the fall working with a new cohort of women. We commend the men at Pelican Bay for their drive to give back and be part of sponsoring theatre education inside the jail. The pieces originally aired on KHSU as part of the Holiday Season. If you missed them, this event is the time to listen. If you heard them already, this event is your chance to contribute.
The radio pieces are 15 minutes each and range in subject and style:
