Beekeeping and How to Avoid Waving Goodbye to Your Bees

Beekeeping and How to Avoid Waving Goodbye to Your Bees
February: Join Humboldt County Beekeepers' Association at the Ag Building in South Eureka for our next General Meeting! This month's event will feature Hank Harrison, who will be diving into the fascinating topic of Swarm Mechanics. - What’s Swarming All About? - Swarming is a natural process that every beekeeper, no matter their level of experience, will need to learn to manage. It’s how honey bee colonies reproduce and expand. When a colony grows too large for its hive, a swarm—consisting of the old queen and 50–60% of the worker bees—leaves to find a new home.
