Bird Walk & Watershed Talk Along the Mad River
Bird Walk & Watershed Talk Along the Mad River
Join Cannabis for Conservation for a relaxed, guided morning walk along the Mad River Levee in Blue Lake as part of Humboldt Green Week.
During this outing, our staff will share insights about the local landscape while we observe birds, identify native and invasive plants, and explore how water moves through the Mad River watershed. It’s a great opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the ecology and restoration of this important river corridor.
Guided by:
Janelle Chojnacki, Natural Resources Program Director
Todd Golder, Watershed Program Director
Jasmine Zenderland, Botanist
All are welcome, free to attend! Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water or binoculars if you have them. Come enjoy a spring morning outdoors while learning about the ecology of one of Humboldt County’s iconic rivers. Meet at the North Side of the Mad River Bridge at Mad River Levee, Blue Lake.
